The 9th Bowl started with a simple idea — that a good rice meal can turn any workday around.
Born from a Love of Real Food
It started in a small kitchen in Shaw, where we cooked the same rice meals we grew up eating — adobo on Sundays, sisig on birthdays, lechon on every occasion worth celebrating. We realized the people around us were eating sad desk lunches, and we thought: we can do better than that.
The 9th Bowl was built on the belief that homestyle cooking shouldn't be a luxury. It should be accessible, fast, and genuinely delicious — the kind of food that makes you feel taken care of, even on the busiest days.
We set up shop at Shaw IT Center and started delivering to the offices around us. Word spread fast. Today, we serve hundreds of regulars every week — and every bowl still gets the same care as that very first one.
